What is UNT Preview?

UNT Preview is a prospective student event designed for high school juniors, high school seniors, and transfer students to learn more about UNT and what we have to offer to our students. It will also give you an opportunity to meet with faculty and staff from our academic departments, tour our campus, and visit our residence halls.


Can an advisor evaluate my transcripts at UNT Preview?

No, unfortunately we will not be able to evaluate transcripts at Preview.


Where do I park for UNT Preview?

You have several parking options for the day:

  • We recommend parking in the lots (lots 19 and 20) by the University Gateway Center and Coliseum, the parking garages for a $10 fee or the lots closer to the Union (lots 22, 23, 24, 25, 31, 32, 33, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, and 42). Note that while your day will begin at the University Gateway Center and Coliseum, it will likely end near the Union.

Where can I purchase a UNT T-Shirt?

The bookstore will be open during UNT Preview.


Will Financial Aid be represented at UNT Preview?

Yes, there will be a session on Financial Aid and Financial Aid counselors will be present at the Student Services Fair.


Will my major / department be at UNT Preview?

All departments with the exception of the College of Information will be at Preview.


Can I go to UNT Preview in lieu of Orientation?

No, UNT Preview is not an Orientation session. All new students are required to attend a New Student Orientation prior to their first semester. Please visit www.unt.edu/orientation for more details.


What can I do in Denton after Preview?

We encourage you to stay for the Denton Jazz & Arts Festival. Otherwise, you can check out www.discoverdenton.com for great alternatives!

What should I bring to UNT Preview?

You should bring comfortable shoes and clothing as you will do a lot of walking around campus. Also, bring lots of questions to help you as you explore UNT.
